Join us for our Guided Hike series: native and invasive plants

Light rain or shine, in the event of heavy rain we’ll be in touch.
Farmer and plant educator Annie Bayer will take us on a journey through Osamequin Farm’s woodlands and field edges to identify and discuss in depth the impact of 5 native plants and 5 invasive plants. We’ll learn how to spot these plants, what sort of habitat they prefer (and what they might be telling us about that soil!), management and/or encouragement strategies, how they propagate themselves, which birds and bugs frequent them, and more!
This tour will be excellent for plant and nature lovers, land stewards hoping to take a more active role in invasive management and/or native cultivation, gardeners and landscapers, etc! All are welcome.
All ages welcome, but this is not explicitly a children’s hike.
4pm meet up at the Farm Stand at Osamequin Farm.
Dress for the weather! Clothes and shoes that can get muddy, and tick-safe clothing recommended.
