Group Visits and Field Trips

Group Visits and Field Trips

Overview

Osamequin Farm welcomes all school groups, scout groups, senior groups, and local organizations to our farm for hands-on enrichment experiences! We will do our best to accommodate the needs of your group based on age, ability, and background.

A standard visit to Osamequin Farm includes an introductory tour followed by one program of your choice. However, we have more options available below including: half-day visits, space rental for private events, and a tour only option. See below for more details!

Availability

We are typically available to host groups on Mondays and Fridays. Occasional weekend dates may be available, please inquire. Some of our programs are only available during select seasons (maple sugaring in winter, PYO berries in summer). When you submit your request, we will inform you if your program of choice is out of season.

Group Size

For children’s groups, we can facilitate programming for at least eight children and up to twenty-five children. We require one chaperone per eight children for preschool through elementary, and at least one chaperone for middle and high schoolers.

Contribution

For a ninety minute children's group visit including the tour and one activity, we ask for a contribution of $12 per child, with no cost for chaperones. Additional fees will apply for half day trips.

For a ninety minute adult group visit including the tour and one activity, we ask for a contribution of $15 per person. A half day adult trip is $20 per person.

Accessibility

If our fees prevent your group from being able to participate, please reach out and we will work with you to find an appropriate rate.

Osamequin Farm is a working farm and most tours involve rough terrain, including traveling across grass, dirt roads, and uneven pavement. Our group visits take place entirely outdoors. Please let us know if you have specific accessibility concerns so that we can plan a visit that will be safe for everyone in your group.

Children’s Programs

Our standard field trip for children’s groups is ninety minutes and includes a tour followed by a program of your choice.
A half day visit will include the standard visit (tour and one program of your choice) plus an additional 1.5 hours of open exploration and play on our grounds, weather permitting.
