Join us for our Guided Hike series: native reptiles & amphibians
Sunday September 10th
1- 2:30pm
Light rain or shine, in the event of heavy rain we’ll be in touch.
Snakes and frogs and toads and turtles! There’s so much underfoot as you wander around Osamequin Farm - our friend and guide Greg Nemes will take us on a journey to see what we can see.
We'll seek out the native reptiles & amphibians in the area, and learn about how they contribute to a healthy native ecosystem. We'll walk the property for 1.5-2 hours in search of our scaled and slimy friends.
Please wear close-toed shoes and be prepared for mud. There are no venomous snakes in this area.
Note: Reptiles and amphibians are typically secretive creatures, and finding them depends on weather conditions, perseverance, and luck! We may not find anything, but we'll learn where to look.
All ages welcome, but this is not explicitly a children’s hike.
