Early Childhood at Osamequin

Early Childhood at Osamequin

Our children thrive when given the chance to explore and experience nature on their own terms! We offer a variety of events, recurring programs, and opportunities to bring your kids to the farm.

Have an idea or want to host an early childhood educational program at Osamequin? Please be in touch!

Current Programs

Mud Kitchen

A free and open ended play space for kids of all ages! The mud kitchen, built by our friends at Down City Design, is located behind the farm stand in Hickory Grove. The mud kitchen is open daylight hours to anyone who would like to come and play. We rely on our community to keep this space usable for all β€” please encourage your kids to clean up before you go and leave the space better than you found it.

Snail Trails

Snail Trails is a year-round nature exploration program designed specifically for curious children ages 2 to 5 and their parents or caregivers. Together, we will foster a deep connection to the natural world and build lasting community friendships.

A balance of structured experiences and free play, supported with social and emotional growth in mind. Adults are encouraged to step back and allow the children's play to evolve as they explore with loose parts and creative materials.
