Join us for our second annual community maple season!
Visit our Community Maple page to sign up and for more details!
Fall Tree ID walk - join us on Saturday October 15th in the forest with arborist Tonay Gooday-Ervin to learn how to identify the different maple trees in your landscape. Identify your maples in the fall, while they still have leaves, so you can come back to them in the winter for tapping season!
Tree Tapping Demo - RSVP (free!) and join us on Saturday, February 11th, 1 - 3pm to participate in a demonstration of tapping your trees.
Community Boiling Days - we’ll be running the wood-fired evaporator on Sundays (Feb 12th, Feb 19th, Feb 26th, March 5th, and March 12th) from 9am til 4pm.
To contribute to the community boil, bring your sap to the farm on Sundays.
Sign up to be a boil steward! - Sign up to hang out on the farm, feed the evaporator with firewood, and monitor the sap boil for a half day shift. Hanging around the warm steamy boil is a great way to get some fresh air in the winter!
Closing Celebration! - Sunday March 12th, 1pm - 3:30pm. Pop in to witness the last boil of the season and taste sap as it boils down into syrup! At 2pm we’ll welcome members of the Pokanoket tribe who will share with us the indigenous story of the maple tree. RSVP HERE.
