We are throwing a natural dye party!

This is your chance to gather with like-minded creatives and play with color in the crisp autumnal breeze!

Please join us and help build a new annual tradition at Osamequin Farm.

  • marigold, orange cosmos, sumac, goldenrod, scabiosa…

  • hapazome, shibori, bundle dye, solar dye…

  • fresh leaf indigo led by Sashoonya

• pre-mordanted blanks available for purchase

COST AND LOGISTICS

Dye vats and stations will operate on a token system. Each token (purchased at the event) costs $5 and is good for one entry into a vat, or one entry at the hapazome table using those supplies… etc.

Tickets to attend the party are $10 and include one token to be redeemed at any station.

Blank pre-mordanted dyeables will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring anything of your own that you would like to dye!
Our staff will help you determine how many tokens your dyeable warrants - for example, a cotton tote bag may be 1 token, whereas a linen tablecloth may be multiple tokens. Tokens are meant to represent how much dyestuff is needed to dye that item and will be based on weight and size.

Anyone is invited to attend the dye party, whether you have experience with natural dyeing or not, and whether you plan to create or just be part of the experience.

The farm will be open for foraging if you’re interested in gathering found materials to use in your project.
