Discover the wonders of the outdoors with your young child.

Snail Trails is a year-round nature exploration program designed specifically for curious children ages 2 to 5 and their parents or caregivers.

Together, we will foster a deep connection to the natural world and build lasting community friendships.

Please read ALL the relevant details below before signing up!

The Details:

PLEASE read the details carefully, and then email us with your questions!

  • This program is designed to take place entirely outdoors, but we will have access to an indoor space if needed. You will be expected to dress yourself and your child for the weather, and pack a water bottle and snack for your child each session.

  • This is not a drop off program - caregivers must stay with the group.

  • Target age is 2 - 5 years old.
You know your child best - if your child falls slightly outside this range, we defer to your judgment on whether it’s appropriate for them to participate.

  • The cost to participate is sliding scale $250 - $350 per session. Reserve your spot HERE.
    * Additional siblings within the age range may sign at a reduced rate of 20% off - please email us to coordinate.
    * EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare cardholders are eligible for 50% off the lowest tier rate. Discount codes can be found here.
*Siblings younger than 2 may attend and stay with their caregiver at no cost.

  • Safety acknowledgement waivers will be required to participate - we will send these out after you register.

  • Space is limited to 10 children. We will only run the program with at least 5 children.

  • We will not issue refunds for missed sessions. However, if we have to cancel due to extreme weather or other unforeseen events, we will schedule a makeup date for the group.

About the Instructor:

Join Laura, an experienced nature-based early childhood educator and naturalist, for a morning of song, stories, art, and play, as we explore the seasonal changes at Osamequin Farm.

Laura has taught at Mass Audubon’s Arcadia Nature Preschool, the Nest at the Wheeler School, Audubon Society of RI, and currently Bainbridge Preschool in Providence. She believes that when children engage with nature, their curiosity and a sense of wonder is sparked. Experiences outdoors build self-confidence, resiliency, and a deep love and empathy for all living things.
